Energy-efficient windows for SA’s climate
Low-emissivity (low-e) glass, argon-filled cavities, thermally-broken aluminium frames, premium uPVC systems — the technology stack that reduces heating and cooling losses through your windows by 50% or more.
What we do
We specify energy-efficient windows by the WERS or NatHERS rating relevant to the project. U-values from 1.5 W/m²K (premium uPVC double-glazed argon-filled) through to 6+ W/m²K (single-glazed aluminium baseline).
Pricing context
Low-e double-glazing premium: 15–25% over standard double-glazing. Premium uPVC IGU systems: from $2,500 per opening fitted.

Frequently asked questions
What U-value should I specify?
For new builds in Adelaide, target U-value below 3.0 W/m²K for compliance and below 2.0 W/m²K for genuine comfort improvement. We document U-values on every quote.
Does the orientation of the window matter?
Yes. North-facing windows should target high SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient) for winter warmth; west-facing should target low SHGC to block summer afternoon heat. We balance the spec per opening.
